A few months back, I bought my first Golden Goose sneakers (you might remember seeing them in a recent post), and have been asked a lot about them ever since. So many that I thought it was time for a full review! I’ve also had them long enough that I understand how they really perform, and a variety of other factors about them, which you’ll see me go more into detail about.

I’d say they fit true to size, based on my pair.
They haven’t stretched noticeably, so if you’re between sizes, I’d go up
How comfy are they?
They only needed minimal break-in time..
How durable are they?
Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and I’m impressed with the durability. No glitter has fallen off, and the leather hasn’t stretched. Since the aesthetic is distressed, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
How are they vs. other brands?
These are the best sneakers I own. I love my Vejas and Tretorns, but Golden Goose are just on another level. They have a hidden arch lift that adds just over an inch — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re not mass-produced, so each pair is custom-feeling. And the sparkle on mine? Next-level.
Would you buy again?
Totally! Just try not to pay full price. They’re expensive, so getting them discounted is smarter. Still, I think they’re worth a few hundred bucks, especially if you find a style that suits you. I went bold with sparkle, but a low-key version would also go with everything.
